Axobotl has a cyan body, pale lavender belly and a fan of pink-and-cream frills around its head. Even idle includes several face and hand gestures, so it feels busier than a companion that mostly blinks. The bright head shape is its strongest small-size feature; its work states use body language rather than tools.

Pet profile
What makes Axobotl distinct?
Use these visible package traits to decide whether this pet fits your desktop before you install it.
Head frills provide a wide color cue
The side frills keep the head recognizable even when the tiny forehead marks and cheek details fade. Cyan, pink and the pale belly separate well on the tested pale and dark backgrounds. A larger preview makes the thin frill edges easier to distinguish.
Idle is already expressive
Idle cycles through open and closed eyes, an open mouth, a lifted foot and hands near the face. Choose it if you enjoy visible activity between tasks. It is a less quiet choice than Pixel Corgi's gently bobbing face.
Direction uses a three-quarter stance
The directional rows turn the body and tail left or right while retaining much of the face. Long alternating steps show movement, but the face stays more frontal than Nemo Corgi's side run. Running uses a separate front-facing stepping sequence.
Animation review
How Axobotl's states read
These observations come from the original package spritesheet, not a generic species description.
Wave spreads an arm beside the frills
Wave raises an arm and opens the mouth before returning to the standing pose. Jump tucks the legs, lifts the body and lands in a crouch. The belly and foot positions help distinguish these actions from the already lively idle.
Failure folds and briefly turns away
The sad expression develops into a low, tucked pose, with the head bowed and the back of the head visible in part of the sequence. Later frames return to a seated frown. Read the whole loop rather than treating one low frame as the permanent failure pose.
Waiting and review share small hand gestures
Waiting brings the hands across the front of the body and near the mouth, with occasional foot and tail changes. Review uses narrowed eyes, head turns and a hand by the cheek. These are expressive poses, but neither supplies a separate work or review prop.
Compare a warmer, quieter animal whose full side profile makes left and right travel easier to read.
